Privacy Policy
This explains what personal information I collect when you visit heyitsnardia.com, buy something, take a quiz, join my email list or book coaching, and what I do with it. I’m Nardia Barrett, an Australian sole trader. “I” means me.
What I collect
When you buy: your name, email address, billing details and what you bought. Your card details go straight to the payment provider. I never see or store your full card number.
When you join my email list or get a free resource: your name and email address.
When you take one of my quizzes: your answers, and your email address if you give it.
When you book coaching: your name, email address and whatever you tell me when you book.
When you email me: your email address and what you write.
When you visit the site: your device, browser, approximate location and which pages you look at, collected through cookies and analytics.
Why I collect it
To send what you bought and your receipt, reply to your emails, run your booking, show your quiz result, send emails you’ve asked for, keep the records tax and other laws require, and see how the site is going.
Emails
I only send marketing emails to people who signed up for them. Buying a book doesn’t add you to my email list unless you tick the box to join. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email me and I’ll take you off.
Who else sees it
I use other companies to run things. They only get what they need to do their job.
Squarespace: my website and store.
Stripe: payments.
Flodesk: my email list.
Interact, Typeform and Fillout: my quizzes and forms. I’m moving them all to Fillout.
Airtable: quiz answers and contact records.
Acuity Scheduling: coaching bookings.
Annature: signing coaching agreements.
Google: my business email, and Google Analytics, which counts visits to the site.
Some of these companies store information outside Australia, including in the United States. I don’t sell or rent your information.
Quiz answers and coaching
What you tell me in quizzes and in coaching is private. I use it to give you your result and to coach you, and for nothing else.
Keeping it safe, and how long I keep it
I use well-known tools and look after my accounts carefully. I keep information for as long as I need it to run the business and meet the law. Tax records are generally kept for five years. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I’ll tell you as the law requires.
Cookies
Cookies are files your browser stores. Squarespace and Google Analytics use them to make the site work, keep your cart and count visits. You can block them in your browser, but the cart won’t work without them. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. I can’t delete records I’m required to keep, such as tax records. Email hello@heyitsnardia.com.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled something, tell me first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
My books and this site are for adults aged 18 and over. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
